Amazon is one of the most popular sales sites in the UK. The owners have just taken a decision that users will not like.
They are, of course, talking about raising the fees for using the service. Many users have subscribed to the so-called Amazon Prime plan.
By paying a fixed monthly or annual fee, users can count on, among other things, free delivery of many products. What’s more, with Amazon Prime, we can buy an item one day and receive it in just a few hours!
Previously, a monthly plan cost £7.99. A yearly subscription, on the other hand, cost £79 – a discount of around £1.5 each month.
Unfortunately, inflation in the UK is on the rise, which has allowed the owners of the service to raise the fees. By how much?
Users who want to pay monthly will have to pay a fee of £8.99 – and that’s up from 15 September. And what about those who wanted to save money by paying once a year?
Here the amount rises to as much as £95. Which means that on a monthly basis the user will pay close to £8.
As a reminder, the Amazon Prime subscription is automatically charged to your account or card – if you pay monthly. It can be cancelled at any time.
However, it should be noted that for regular Amazon users, the Prime option is very convenient and still cost-effective.
Furthermore, Amazon UK has only decided to increase it for the first time since 2014. We leave it to you to decide.
