Get the cheapest plane tickets possible – it’s a buzzword that accompanies every traveller. You only need to know one trick to enjoy the cheapest possible boarding tickets. We suggest how to do it using Ryanair as an example.
Low-cost airlines are no longer as cheap as they were just a few years ago. Yes, it is possible to find boarding passes for next to nothing, but you have to be on the lookout for one of the instant promotions.
Moreover, specific seats on the plane have long been charged extra. Moreover, we even have to pay for hand luggage or priority boarding. Free snacks on board are not even mentioned.
So it is worth knowing one trick to enjoy cheap plane tickets. How to do it – suggests financial expert Martin Lewis.
A well-known economist in the UK warns us against buying tickets on fares other than the cheapest. Using Ryanair as an example – the boarding pass itself is the so-called Value fare. But on purchase we are bombarded straight away by other options – more expensive, but intended to save us between a few and a few dozen pounds.
We are talking about higher fares, e.g. Regular, where the price includes not only the right to fly, but also a designated seat or additional baggage on board. This option is absolutely not worth choosing!
As Martin Lewis says, in order to get a cheap ticket, you have to buy the flight itself and only at the next stage buy the extras you are interested in. – This is the only way to really save money. Such a move works 90 per cent of the time. We then have control over costs, and with the so-called combined fare, we only see the total amount, usually higher than if we had bought the flight, seat and baggage separately.
It is worth knowing this principle and putting it into practice when searching for cheap tickets. Knowing the trick mentioned above, we can save more than £100 (when buying tickets for two adults and two children) on the Gdańsk-Stansted-Gdańsk route as an example.
